I was educated in Southern California during my teen years, and during that time, I decided I wanted to be an airline stewardess, flying back and forth to European destinations and somewhere in America. However, when I left high school, I was seventeen, too young for flight stewardess training. During the interim, I was given a job in a convalescent hospital to help feed those who could not feed themselves. I was hooked. I decided to forget flying and become a nurse. I have never regretted my decision, not for a single minute.

During my nursing career, I had the opportunity to teach people how to care for the chronically ill. While remaining a nurse for thirty-six hours a week, I taught basic nursing for sixteen. Again, I loved it and have never regretted my decision to do so.

My two professions exposed me to a variety of lifestyles and cultures. I was blessed in getting to know my patients and their families well. I listened to many of their experience-stories over and over. The elderly need someone to listen to them tell their stories. I was immensely privileged to be there as souls departed this physical world and entered into the realm of the spirit. I’m not sure I ever met a person in my line of work who did not believe in the afterlife, but I met many a patient who did not. I always found that a person without faith was always afraid to die, while a person who “had someplace to go” was usually at peace when the time came.

I enjoy writing stories and often weave the stories that have been shared with me into the stories I am writing. I am fascinated with the supernatural. I do not believe in “ghosts” per se; I believe in spirits. I believe everyone has a body, a soul, and a spirit. When we exit the physical plane, we enter the spiritual plane. Our soul goes with our spirit, but the body stays behind.

My hobbies/interests include writing (of course), gardening, artwork, music, interior design, movies, true crime or comedy, animals, and learning about anything new that catches my attention.

I am currently retired and simply made the decision to see if one of my stories might be worth publishing. I sent in Whinham House and have been taken off the ground by a magic carpet. It’s a little scary and totally new to me, but here I go . . . .
